Having an extra day for acclimatization during your tour guarantees you a high level of a successful summit with **Utmost Expeditions**. **Kilimanjaro Climb 7 Days Machame** Dar 1: Arrival Day Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our drive from Utmost Expeditions will pick up and transfer you to your Hotel for last minutes gears check and overnight Day 2: Drive from Arusha to Machame Gate Start a day 1 Kilimanjaro Climb Machame Route just after an early breakfast, drive to Machame Gate for registration you then you will start your climb. Today is a nice leisurely hike through the tropical beautiful rain forest. As you pass through the rainforest, you are likely to spot colobus monkeys and wild birds’, Dinner, and Overnight at Machame camp. Day 3: Climb Kilimanjaro Machame Camp to Shira camp From the Machame Hut, you cross the stream onto its west bank and follow the path up the steep rocky ridge – crisscrossing a few times before reaching Shira camp, at the base of a semi-circular wall of rocks, Dinner and overnight at Shira camp. Day 4: Climb Kilimanjaro Shira camp to Barranco camp From Shira camp, you hike to Lava Tower (15,000’) to acclimatize and then proceed down to Barranco Camp via the Great Barranco Wall. Tonight’s camp is one of the best on the mountain, Dinner, and overnight at Barranco camp. Day 5: Climb Kilimanjaro Barranco camp to Karanga Valley A hike from Barranco Camp through the edge of the great Barranco Wall – Breakfast; It’s a tough morning climb on a steep trail, but once you reach the top of the wall, the views are scenic and majestic, Dinner and overnight at Karanga camp. Day 6: Climb Kilimanjaro Karanga Valley to Barafu Camp The day will be shorter a hike than the previous days, trekking up to the base camp before your last ascent day to the summit. You must get lots of rest as you will need all your energy for the hike to the Roof of Africa – Uhuru Peak, Dinner, and overnight at Barafu camp. Day 7: Climb Kilimanjaro Summit to Mweka Camp On the final day where you will start pushing to the summit early after midnight, the hike will take you Pole Pole from the Base to stela point 4-5 hours. And from the Stela Point through the Crater Rim will take one hour and a half to stop in the Roof Of Africa, at the Main Peak you will take quick pictures, then you start to continue descending to Barafu camp for breakfast/lunch with little rest before you descend to Mweka camp, Dinner and overnight at Mweka Camp for overnight. Day 8: Decend Kilimanjaro – Mweka Camp – Arusha On your final day, you will have a short three-hour climb out, walking through the lush forest. You will meet our driver with the vehicle at the Mweka park gate to drive back to Peace Hotel in Arusha for the overnight waiting for the following day drive to Airport or Tanzania Safari.
