Description

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER (Managing Drivers) We are looking for Human Resources Manager who will drive results and support business objectives. The ideal candidate must have a thorough understanding of the unique challenges inherent in the trucking industry. Driver retention and hiring are a high priority, which means providing outstanding support to each driver. He/she will also pre-screen these applicants to ensure they meet company standards before scheduling their orientation and job offer. Duties and Responsibilities • To manage a team of 150 drivers • Locate potential employees who meet company standards • Pre-screen potential applicants and develop and oversee recruiting or referral programs • Inform applicants about our operations and the benefits we offer • Schedule driver orientations and road tests • Responsible for providing day-to-day support regarding human resources and organizational issues • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues in a timely manner; conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations; consults with Management to seek guidance when appropriate • Responsible for the coordination and conduction of orientation programs for newly hired employees, processing all contracts and ensuring all required documents are provided before reporting to work • Ensure that all personnel records are maintained in accordance with company policy and according to Tanzania laws Qualifications: • Degree in HRM, Law or Business administration or related fields • At least 3 years of HR experience in the transportation company • Has experience managing over 120 drivers • Knowledge of employment law and regulatory compliance issues • Must possess a high level of honesty, integrity, and ethics • Innovative thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills • Must be a confident communicator, (including written, and verbal skills) and able to effectively champion ideas, influence, and present to leadership Budget: 1,200,000 Net Pay Location: Changombe, Dar Es Salaam
