ICT OFFICER

Description

**Overview** ICT Officer is responsible for installing and configuring computer hardware, software, together with diagnoses, repairs, and maintenance, and is the primary point of contact for ICT support within a company to ensure the smooth running of all computer systems. Also, being a reference point for all ICT-related queries at the user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner, and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other technical duties. **ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.** • Setting up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers, and others • Timely check of computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards, and others to ensure proper functionality • Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting. • Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications • Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance • Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems • Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment • Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging, and others • Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule • Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders • Any other duties assigned by Management **SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS** • Bachelor’s Degree in Information technology, Computer Science, or any other related field • At least 3 years of relevant working experience including Development and Implementation of ICT strategies, Hardware and software platforms, knowledge of Window-based packages. • Knowledge of web design and development is an added advantage • Good knowledge of Office 2016, 2019and other clouds technologies. • Experience using tools such as Visual studio, VDA, Microsoft Power Shell, or an equivalent scripting/ programming language personal attributes and behavior. • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time. • Excellent writing and communication skills • Excellent analytical skills • Full competence in using accounting software using Cellular dimension for effective reporting on the organizational project level • High level of integrity and accountability
