Auto Electrician

Description

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an auto electrician who specializes in installing and maintaining electrical systems contained in automotive vehicles. Auto electricians mainly work for auto service centers where they install, inspect, repair, and maintain all the electrical parts contained in a vehicle. Responsibilities: • Maintain and repair various kinds of petrol and diesel engine motor vehicles. • Installing new vehicle wiring systems. • Installing and troubleshooting immobilizer and alarm systems. • Gathering information from drivers about issues with their electrical system. • Diagnosing electrical issues and proposing a course of action. • Repairing and replacing faulty wiring or electrical systems. • Servicing electrical automotive parts. • Maintaining a clean working environment. • Undertake electrical repairs on various vehicles and plants. • Repair parts and equipment when needed. • Order for parts and equipment as necessary. • Identify repairs required via unfair wear and tear, and advise the service manager and foreman mechanic. • Liaise with agents and manufacturers on problems in order to achieve an efficient repair. • Complete all documentation and receipts, including inspection sheets, and apply signatures as appropriate. • Completing job reports and processing paperwork. • Perform other duties assigned by the upper management of the employer. Requirements: • Experience of 8 years in the same or similar role preferably from a Construction company • Auto electrical and mechanical knowledge • Knowledge of diagnostics tools for vehicle electrical and electronics • Ability to read electrical and electronic schematics and circuit diagrams • Ability to carry out/repair electrical wiring in a range of vehicles • Strong manual skills and precision when carrying out repair and testing • Organizational skills and ability to work as part of a team • Problem-solving skills
