Our company deals with steel building materials and hardware, we are looking for an office clerk to be able to perform day to day routine duties in the office. JOB DESCRIPTION: • Request & arrange petty cash. • Ensure timely import duty payments are made. • Make overseas purchases and payments for the products • Make follow-ups with the bank and ensure swift copy and proper documentation are shared with the overseas and local suppliers. • Proper filing and maintenance of checkbook records, getting signed for the cheques after the approval both manually and electronically. • Prepare salary for the staff. • Follow up with the clients for due payments. • Sending cash reports. • Filing of TRA receipts from the purchases that have been done and claiming the same for TRA/VAT. • Copies, sorts, and files records related to office activities, business transactions, and other matters. • Prepares letters, memos, forms, and reports according to written or verbal instructions. • Sorts incoming mail and delivers to appropriate department or individual; processes outgoing mail. • Manages calendars and schedules appointments. • Performs other related duties as assigned. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Proven work experience as a data entry, Office Representative, receptionist or similar role. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers). • Professional attitude and appearance. • Solid written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise. • Excellent organizational skills. • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks. • Customer service attitude. • High school degree; additional certification in Office Management is an added advantage and would be considered.
