KPA 1 Responsible for producing the budgeted number of Cobb broiler day-old-chicks & broiler hatching eggs within set KPIs Outcomes: Responsible for setting & executing the Cobb Breeders annual budget based on agreed company strategy Plans PS imports & liaises with Cobb Plans for hatching eggs exports with commercial Liaises with Hatchery & Company Vet to ensure standards are met Identifies, monitors & reports abnormal mortalities immediately to Company Veterinarian & closes case within same working day as per SOP Keeps up to date with technical specs from suppliers, nutritional specifications and global industry trends on Parent stock breeder management and husbandry Works closely with Irvine’s group specialists to share & implement best practices Identify and agree with specialists' necessary trials in order to constantly improve the Parent stock performance and profitability KPA 2 Responsible for producing, maintaining & communicating the production forecast to all stakeholders Outcomes: Responsible for setting, placing & culling schedules for PS breeders at the beginning of financial year and on an ad-hoc basis Attends meetings as per Meeting Schedule KPA 3 Responsible for achieving financial KPIs as set out in Breeders budget & managing expenditure & costs Outcomes: Ensures budgeted cost per hatching egg target is achieved Analyses costs and ensures all costs are within set & agreed budget and takes corrective action when necessary Authorizes and signs all Breeders Requisitions in line with budget & SOPs Identifies cost cutting measures & ensures implementation with the team Manages leave for team members to achieve targeted leave balance for each financial year Qualifications Successful management of a poultry breeder farm Minimum 5 years experience as a senior manager Ability to communicate in Swahili Veterinary qualification or degree in Animal Science or related Additional Information This position is available to Tanzanian and Expatriates capable of speaking Kiswahili
