Description

We are hiring for the above role on behalf of our client in Arusha Department: Finance Job Purpose: To provide strategic direction on finance and enforce internal controls in line with established company policies and regulations. Reporting Relationships General Manager (Administratively) and Group Finance Director (functionally) Direct Reports Senior Management Accountant (Nairobi) Credit Controller (Nairobi/South Africa) Key Working Relationships  HODS  Internal Users of Financial information’s  Suppliers  Bankers  Government Agencies  External Auditors Key Responsibilities of the job:  Formulate and oversee implementation of a sound finance strategy to facilitate business operations.  Provide leadership in the preparation / consolidation of company budgets as well as monthly financial reports.  Ensure monthly management accounts and financial reports are prepared and presented to Board/financial partners whenever required.  Ensure payroll is prepared and staff paid on time every month.  Monitor cash movements, provide cash flow statements and align cash to payments whilst investing surplus to earn a return.  Establish and maintain good working relationship with the financial partners for financial assistance as need arises.  Determine, in liaison with tax auditor, the VAT and corporation tax payable and make payments by the due dates.  Organize audit of the accounts and distribute the audited accounts to business partners where required.  Set and guide staff performance evaluation on targets using the HK system which recognizes and rewards performance and puts a premium on staff development and career growth.  Profile staff skills/competency needs and develop annual training and capacity building programmes based on priority needs including career growth/succession plans.  Prepare and present financial reports to the Management Team for information and necessary action.  Perform any other assignments as directed by Management Job Dimensions: Financial Responsibilities:  Financial reports  Liquidity Nature of Decision Making:  Timely financial reporting  Control on operating expenses & other costs Responsibility of physical assets (Custodianship):  Financial Data & Records  Laptop, Printer, Normal Office Furniture  Company's car and Household Assets Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Attributes/Skills) Academic and/or Professional Qualifications:  Degree in finance plus professional qualification – CPA, ACCA Previous relevant work experience required  Minimum of 10 years of which 5 years should in manufacturing industries Job skills and attributes  Communication skills  Organization skills  Problem Solving skills  Negotiation skills  Analytical skills  Report writing skills  Business management skills  Leadership/People management skills  Team player  Interpersonal relations  Computer literacy in MS Word, Windows, Excel and PowerPoint  Integrity  Strategic thinker  Focused and with sense of orderliness
